Diet 3: Rice Dream Diet

Diet #3: Rice Dream Diet

Follow for one or two weeks (your choice)

  1. One whole quart of Rice Dream Vanilla Enriched each day. Alternatives are Eden Soy Extra, Pacific Ultra Plus, or Almond Amazake. For a delicious tang, much like a milk shake, add 4 ounces of Rice Dream to 2 ounces of raspberry soda. This diet does not permit any dairy product as substitutes for the rice/soy/almond drinks. You may drink the whole quart however you wish. It works out best as eight 4 ounce glasses; alternatives are 32 one ounce shots, or even all at once, etc. It is yours; do as you wish. You must, however, have the whole quart.
  2. Plus have the berries, vegetables, soups/stews and vitamins of Diet #4.
  3. Once every other day have one regular sized green salad (carrots, broccoli, colored lettuce, herbs, cucumbers, radishes, celery, cauliflower, cabbage - but not tuna, cottage cheese or anything else not specifically mentioned) with 2 tablespoons of regular (not dietetic) salad dressing. Regular salad dressings are those such as Nasoya (brand) 1000 Island and/or Garden Herb Veggie Dressing or 2 tablespoons of organic extra virgin olive oil plus the desired amount of a high quality balsamic vinegar.
  4. Green/bancha/kukicha tea or Inka/Raja's Cup/Roma/Pero coffee substitutes with part of your Rice Dream (Westsoy Light Non-Dairy Creamer tastes better and may be used in these drinks). Brown rice syrup up to 3 teaspoons a day may be used as a sweetener. Use these drinks or just hot water with lemon to support your hand-to-mouth habit.
  5. One package of organic herb smoked tofu every other day, alternating with one half container of seitan.
  6. Medicines where prescribed.
  7. Sugarless gum, such as Carefree, three sticks per day as desired. This is optional.
  8. Close to two measured quarts (16 four oz. glasses) of water or weak green tea each day to flush out uric acid and protect the kidneys.

That's all! There are no substitutes or additions except the recommended berries, cooked vegetables, or Diet #4 soups/stews.

Occasionally constipation occurs and is well treated with 1-3 Magnesium Caps (300mg) by Country Life.
